About JewellWaruna
Goldsmithing from the hill country of Sri Lanka.
JewellWaruna was founded in Ella as a small family workshop, built on a single principle: jewellery should be made slowly, by hand, and made to last. Waruna, our founding goldsmith, trained under Kandyan-tradition craftsmen before opening our first bench in 2010.
Today the same values guide every piece we make — gold sourced responsibly, gemstones cut in Ratnapura, and every setting finished under a loupe before it leaves our hands.

Meet the Founder
Waruna
Founder & Master Goldsmith
Every JewellWaruna piece still passes through Waruna’s hands before it leaves the workshop. What began as a one-man bench in Ella has grown into a small family workshop, but the standard hasn’t changed — each setting is checked under a loupe, and nothing ships until it meets his eye.
Waruna and the team now also represent Sri Lankan craftsmanship at international gem & jewellery trade exhibitions, carrying the workshop’s pieces — and the country’s gem heritage — well beyond Ella.
Hand-Finished
Every piece is cast, set and polished by hand — no two are ever identical.
Ethically Sourced
Gemstones are sourced directly from trusted Sri Lankan gem merchants.
Made to Last
18K and 22K gold construction, built to be worn daily and passed down.
